Finally reading this. Dee gave it to me, and over the years it had come up in conversation after conversation (friends, strangers, a knowing nod every time it was mentioned) until it felt less like a recommendation and more like a book that was patiently waiting for me to get around to it.

Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd, has a recurring dream that sends him from the hills of Spain across the Mediterranean and into the Sahara in search of a treasure hidden near the pyramids. Along the way Coelho turns the journey into a parable: pay attention to omens, listen to your heart, and pursue what he calls your Personal Legend, the thing you were put here to do.

A short book, but an impactful one. Notes to follow once I've finished.
