Every house needs a front door, and tonyschmidt.io is mine. It's the site I point people to when they ask what I do, and the short answer it gives is "builder of better conversations."
The longer answer is the through line. I owned a coffee house before I became a software engineer, and after trading espresso for APIs I learned the tools changed but the work didn't. Both jobs come down to the same question: how do we create conditions where people think more clearly and connect more meaningfully?
The selected work section makes the case with three projects. Nolo Coffee Corner, the Saturday salon in my Minneapolis apartment with free coffee and no agenda. ReasonSmith, a platform in development for structured, good-faith discourse that evaluates argument quality instead of engagement. And Brew Tuner, the dial-in app with no accounts, no ads, and no tracking.
